Horizontal swing check valve is a pipeline device that achieves one-way control of the medium through the rotation of the valve disc. Its horizontal installation characteristics are suitable for pipeline systems in the fields of petroleum, chemical, water supply and drainage. The following will explain the structural design, operating mechanism, and application characteristics.

1、 Structural Design

The valve body adopts casting/forging technology, and can be made of cast iron, carbon steel or stainless steel materials. The flow channel is optimized by fluid mechanics, which helps to reduce the flow resistance of the medium. The core components include:

• Rotating valve disc: hinge shaft connection structure, supporting 70-85 degree opening angle
• Sealing system: hard alloy or rubber composite material sealing surface
• Auxiliary mechanism: optional spring assisted device to enhance closing response

2、 Operating mechanism

1. Open state: When the medium flows forward, the fluid pressure drives the valve disc to rotate and open, and the flow cross-sectional area reaches more than 90% of the valve body diameter.
2. Closing control: When the medium flows back or stagnates, automatic locking is achieved through gravity, fluid back pressure, and spring assistance. The typical closing time range is 0.5-3 seconds.
3. 防冲击设计The swing arm structure can buffer pressure fluctuations, and some models integrate a buffer closure device to reduce water hammer effects.

1. Flow resistance control: optimizing the flow channel design to achieve a flow coefficient Cv value better than traditional lifting structures
2. 工况适应性：
   • Temperature range: -29 ℃ to 425 ℃ (classified according to sealing material)
   • Pressure rating: PN16 to PN100 (compliant with API 594 standard)
3. Maintenance: The split valve cover structure supports online maintenance without the need for pipeline disassembly
