Pneumatic clamp type slurry knife gate valve
Pneumatic clamp type slurry knife gate valve is an innovative automated valve designed for high concentration and high wear slurry media. Its structure and application scenarios are significantly different from flange valves, especially suitable for industrial scenarios with limited space or requiring quick disassembly and assembly. This valve abandons the traditional flange connection method and adopts a clamp type installation design. The valve body is directly clamped between the pipeline flanges through high-strength bolts, greatly reducing the overall length and weight of the valve, lowering installation complexity and pipeline layout costs, while retaining strong adaptability to high viscosity and hard particle media.
Core structure design
The valve body adopts a symmetrical streamlined cavity design, embedded with a knife shaped gate plate. The gate plate edge is treated with multi-layer hard alloy welding technology, which has ultra-high hardness and wear resistance, and can efficiently cut off impurities such as fibers and crushed stones in the slurry, avoiding jamming. The clamp type structure eliminates the need for flange connection plates and, combined with precision machined sealing pairs, reduces the volume of flange valves by about 30% under the same pressure level. It is particularly suitable for space limited scenarios such as underground mines and equipment intensive slurry pumping stations.
Drive and Control System
Equipped with modular pneumatic actuators (single acting spring reset or double acting cylinder), the valve stem is driven by compressed air to achieve linear movement of the gate. The opening and closing time can be controlled within 2-10 seconds, and it supports 0 ° -90 ° signal feedback and 4-20mA analog adjustment. The actuator integrates explosion-proof solenoid valves and intelligent positioning modules to meet Ex d Ⅱ BT4 explosion-proof requirements. It can seamlessly integrate with DCS/SCADA systems to achieve remote start stop, emergency shutdown, and precise flow control, especially suitable for highly automated continuous production lines.
Sealing and Material Technology
The valve seat adopts a split type self tightening sealing structure, and the sealing surface is covered with silicon carbide or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) material. The sealing pressure is enhanced by the medium pressure to achieve bidirectional zero leakage under 0-10MPa working conditions. The valve body and flow channel lining can be made of sintered ceramic, rubber coating, or duplex stainless steel materials according to the characteristics of the medium, which can increase the erosion resistance life by more than three times compared to conventional materials. For strongly acidic slurries (such as wet metallurgical fluids with pH<2), a customized Hastelloy lining scheme can be used to avoid pitting and intergranular corrosion.
